Career Counseling Community Service

Career Counseling

Conducted a career counselling session for approximately 80 students of 10th standard from Raja Ramdeo Podar Shala. The session aimed to guide students in making informed academic and career choices at this crucial stage. Career Counsellor Kavita Mungi - an educationist, counselling Phycologist and career counsellor with extensive experience across NGOs, Schools and colleges in Mumbai.This session was coordinated and organized by PP Rtn. Samapti Patel & Rtn. Nalini Puri. Objective: To facilitate mental health services and make care easily accessible for vulnerable sections of society.

Bunk Beds Distribution

A joint project was conducted by RCBW alongwith Rotary Clubs of Mumbai Dahisar, Bombay Metropolitan, Mumbai Mahim, Bombay Harbour, Mumbai Juhu, Mumbai Mulund Hills, and Bombay in association with LEAP India Limited at Digambar Padvi Primary & Secondary Ashram School, Ambiste, Taluka Wada, District Palghar. Bunk Beds, Blankets, Library Books, etc were a joint project was conducted by RCBW along with Rotary Clubs of Mumbai Dahisar, Bombay Metropolitan, Mumbai Mahim, Bombay Harbour, Mumbai Juhu, Mumbai Mulund Hills, and Bombay in association with LEAP India Limited. As part of this meaningful service initiative, the following were provided at Digambar Padvi Primary & Secondary Ashram School,Ambiste, Taluka Wada, District Palghar. 120 two-tier bunk beds • 500 bedsheets • 550 blankets • 940 library books • 6 library cupboards • Science laboratory equipment • 1 wall fan • 2 science laboratory cupboards Rotary Club of Bombay West sponsored 3 Bunk Beds

Free Multi Speciality Medical Camp

Multi-Specialty Medical Camp was successfully organised at the RCBW Medical Centre on 22nd March 2026, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.The camp was inaugurated by District Governor Rtn.Dr. Manish Motwani, who was warmly welcomed by RCBW President Rtn. Jayant Sanghvi. A total of 153 beneficiaries availed of the services offered at the camp. Among the most sought-after services were ECG, vision screening, random blood sugar testing, and blood pressure checks. Patients also consulted RCBW’s general physicians and orthopaedic specialists, while women patients received expert consultations from dermatologists and gynaecologists

Rotary Service Week Eye Camp

Rotary Service Week from 2nd to 9th Nov started off with Eye care camps on Sunday 2nd November 2025 at Rotary Centre and D J Sanghvi Medical Centre at K.D.N Shruti School from 10am to 2 pm with RCBW as Lead Host and RC of Mumbai Bravehearts, Elegant Juhu Beach, & Iconic as c o-hosts. Around 80 persons had their eyes checked for refractive errors. Spectacles at concessional rates were also given to patients who had simple reading glasses.

Free Cervical Cancer Screening Camp

MOC Cancer Care & Research centre Team & Dr. Maitreyee Parulekar a Gynaecological Oncologist, in association with Rotary Club of Bombay West and the Inner wheel Club of Bombay West, jointly conducted a free cervical cancer screening test camp for women at Kirit Nursing Home in Vile Parle East on Sunday 6th July 2025, under the able guidance ofR/Ann Dr. Bhavna Patel who worked tirelessly to ensure success. The entire camp was conducted at no cost to RCBW & Inner-wheel, by MOC Team. 46 Patient Registrations were lined up by 5th July, Along with the Free Pap Smear test, Gynaecological consultation was also included at no cost

Happy School Project

The Rotary Club of Bombay West successfully conducted its Happy School Project in the Raigad District, focusing on improving learning environments and supporting the holistic growth of students in rural schools. Materials Distributed As part of the project, the club provided: * Blackboards and green boards * Notebooks and ruled books for students * Sports kits for both schools Beneficiary Schools & Students Total Schools Covered: 6 Talukas: Roha & Alibaug Total Student Beneficiaries: 563 1. Sane Guruji Vidya Niketan, Post Sane Gaon, Roha – 180 students 2. Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Post Sudkoli, Alibaug – 101 students 3. Krushnaji Gorivale School, Roha – 110 students 4. Shivaji Vidyalaya, Aare Gaon, Roha – 70 students 5. Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Mandir, Chorte, Murud, Alibaug – 102 students Total Attendance at the programme: 180 participants, including school dignitaries.

The Rotary Club of Bombay West, in collaboration with the Vidya Association, organized Distribution of Navneet Question Paper Book sets to SSC students for the upcoming Board Exams under the Bhavishya Yaan Project at Sane Guruji Vidya Mandir, Santacruz (West). The following dignitaries were present • PP Shri Shirish Rege • Rtn. Mahesh Kokate – Director, Community Service–1 • Ms. Deepa – Representative, Vidya Association • Principal and Teachers – Sane Guruji Vidya Mandir. A total of 41 students attended the event and received Navneet Question Paper Book Sets as part of the distribution. All dignitaries personally handed over the book sets to the students and conveyed their best wishes for their upcoming SSC Board Examinations. Total Beneficiaries: 26 Students
